本品小口短颈丰肩垂腹渐收，至胫足处外撇，为梅瓶之形，风神俊逸，曲线柔美，胎质坚厚，通体茄皮紫釉，釉面肥厚莹亮，深紫色尤为深邃，神秘莫测，茄皮紫釉为明弘治景德镇所创，以錳为呈色剂，辅以钴、铁，至康熙时得以发扬光大，烧制最佳，本品即为熙朝茄皮紫之精品，神秘玄幻，诚为观赏佳器。
