扳指是旧时一种护手的工具，带于勾弦的手指，用以扣住弓弦。同时，在放箭时，也可以防止急速回抽的弓弦擦伤手指。满族人入关后，大量贵族子弟不再习武，却仍然配戴扳指，最终演变为贵族的装饰物。
