张之洞(1837年9月2日-1909年10月4日 )，字孝达，号香涛，时为总督，称"帅"，故时人皆呼之为"张香帅"。 晚清名臣、清代洋务派代表人物，祖籍直隶南皮，出生于贵州兴义府(今安龙县 )。咸丰二年(1852年)十六岁中顺天府解元，同治二年(1863年)二十七岁中进士第三名探花，授翰林院编修，历任教习、侍读、侍讲、内阁学士、山西巡抚、两广总督、湖广总督、两江总督(多次署理，从未实授)、军机大臣等职，官至体仁阁大学士。
君不见，所翁所画龙雄，画两目不点瞳。曾闻弟子误落笔，即时雷雨飞腾，空运精入神，夺元化浅夫未识，徒惊诧拖蛇移，山律四阳，时间不独所翁画。张之洞。
