作者简介：宋吟可(1902-1990)原名荫科，江苏南京人。少年时于南京读中学，因家境贫寒中途辍学。15岁到上海商务印书馆学作书籍插图，业余学习人物、花鸟画，多研习任伯年、吴昌硕等前辈作品。二十世纪三十年代流寓广西，任桂林美术专科学校中国画讲师，并于当地举办第一次个人画展。四十年代迁至贵阳定居，多次在贵阳、昆明、成都、重庆等地举行个人展。1951年任贵州人民美术出版社美术编辑组组长，1958年访问越南归来，先后于贵州省民族学院，贵州大学艺术系任教授。
