Han Dynasty, goose shaped jade beans 豆為禮器，造型類似高足盤，上部呈圓盤狀，盤下有柄，柄下有圓足，作為禮器，與鼎、簋、豆、簠、籩、鼎、鉶、盨、罍、爵等配套使用。古代貴族或君王在舉行祭祀、宴饗、征伐及喪葬等禮儀活動中使用的器物，專門盛放醃菜、肉醬等調味品。玉豆青白玉製成，玉質溫潤，油潤光潔，包漿醇熟，局部帶有黑褐色沁色，上下子母口扣合，其外壁通體雕出鵝形，鵝作回首狀，軀體肥碩，長頸曲回，喙插背間，似正在浮游中梳理羽毛，短尾起翹。鵝身層層羽翎，雕工細膩，刻畫精巧，刀法老練，紋絲不亂。蓋盒內部挖膛細緻，打磨光滑，體現了高超的工藝技巧。鵝神態溫馴，惟妙惟肖，寓意美好，「鵝、我」諧音，以鵝為題材，也有託物喻志、表達自我之意。
