Chinese Order of the Sacred Treasure, a large sash Badge in gilt with 2 prongs and a center safety prong for attachment; together with a smaller pendant neck or chest badge in silver on a white & yellow ribbon. Diameter of larger sash badge 3 inches (7.5 cm.). NOTE: Originally established in 1888 by Emperor as the Order of Meiji and awarded by subsequent Emperors for Service. The 8 point silver star in the center on a blue enamel ground is a symbol of the Yata Mirror, so sacred that not even the Emperor is allowed to look at it.
