本品撇口，弧腹，圈足。器外壁以青花绘云叶纹，颇具宣德之风。正统、景泰、天顺三朝被称作明代景德镇陶瓷烧造的“空白期”，虽然在此期间御窑厂与民窑均未停止生产，但由于战乱频繁、政局动荡、宫廷争权，加之景泰皇帝偏好铜胎珐琅器，导致此时期瓷器烧造严重萎缩，至今未尚发现署年款的空白期官窑瓷器。本品造型端庄秀丽，画意飘逸洒脱，奔放自如，正如清人许之衡《饮流斋说瓷》载“明代绘事，虽不甚精细，而古趣横溢，俨有武梁画像遗意。”不失为一件特征明显的明代空白期遗留佳作。
