AN IMPERIAL YELLOW-GLAZED MONOCHROME MALLET VASE, YONGZHENG MARK, QING DYNASTY
China, 18th - 19th century . Standing on a straight foot, the rounded body with a smooth edge curving inward and up to the long, straight neck of the vase. With a fine egg-yolk colored glaze overall, pooling nicely just above the foot, and thinning towards the edges, also covering the inside of the mouth. The foot with a smooth polish, revealing the fine white ware.

From the collection of an English gentleman in Guernsey, United Kingdom.

Condition:
Very good condition with old wear as expected, minor firing flaws, and a minuscule chip to the foot. The neck slightly leaning. The base with some soiling.

The recessed base with an underglaze-blue six-character mark da Qing Yongzheng nianzhi within a single circle, painted in the style of the early Yongzheng period, reminiscent of Kangxi monochrome wares.
