A LARGE GILT-LACQUERED BRONZE 'BUDDHIST LION' CENSER AND COVER, QING DYNASTY
China, 1644-1912. Finely cast, the removable head raised with the mouth agape showing sharp fangs, the scrolling mane and brows neatly incised, the fierce expression marked by wide bulging eyes, flanked by funnel-shaped ears, the body further detailed with stylized flames and a bushy tail.

Very good condition with expected old wear and some casting irregularities, flaking and losses to lacquer, tiny chips, small nicks, light scratches. Good patina overall.

中國，1644-1912年。銅鑄太獅蓋爐，體態健碩渾圓，仰首傲立，雙目圓瞪，炯炯有神，整體氣勢威嚴；腹部中空，可作香薰使用，口張開，以便香味飄散；其面相、毛髮、獸爪等細節刻畫栩栩如生，線條流暢精細。
