戏狮罗汉（伐阇罗弗多罗）是佛教十八罗汉的第八位，为梵语Vajraputra 的音译。此件罗汉光头广额，五官疏朗，眉髯浓密，双目微闭，面部肌肉写实，大耳垂肩，神情慈悲睿智，身着半袒式袈裟，衣纹错落披拂，胸前肋骨明显，虽骨瘦如柴，但精神矍铄，左手扶膝，右手自然垂搭，呈自在坐，下方瑞狮趴卧，身躯健硕，不怒自威，侧首望向前方，仿佛在聆听禅音教诲，雕刻生动而富有韵味。
