L. 1 7/64 in; 2.8 cm
Powerfully modelled face and mane. Circles of applied gold wire for the eyes. Slightly opened mouth with a double volute into which a hook could be inserted to close the necklace to which it originally belonged. Behind the head there is a cuff decorated by applied, twisted gold wire. Part of a necklace.
