余燮阳（1877—1944）字哲徽、哲辉，四川内江东兴区人，清末秀才，拔贡生。 燮阳少时，受县中书法名家肖玉林先生指导，以书法为日课，坚持不懈，锐意进取，不苟求工，打下了坚实基础。民国时期，他与公孙长子、陈鸣鸾、梅鹤年为世人称为内江四大书家。其子余农治得其真传，亦成为内江当代书法名家。圣教缺而复全,苍生罪而还福。湿大宅之干焰,共拔迷津;朗爱水之昏波,同臻彼岸。三十一年十月燮阳。余燮阳印
