款识：花瀑。戊午秋月，继庄写于北京。钤印：许、继庄说明：北京画店库出。许继庄，河北武强人。 擅长中国画。 1962年北京艺术学院美术系毕业， 留校任教，1964年转入中央美术学院中国画系任教，教授。中国美术家协会会员，北京工笔重彩画会理事。 作 品《春韵》、《南国情》、《鹤望兰》先后入选第六、七、八届全国美展。《翠微秋意》入 选纪念毛主席讲话发表50周年全国美展，《鹤舞》获全国首届中国花鸟画展佳作奖。发表《 中国画出新小议》、《中国画中的线写意》、《中国画与京剧》等论文。合著有《怎样画蝴 蝶、草虫》。出版有《许继庄花鸟画》。
