是册为徐世光光绪辛巳年（1881）从其塾师张少泉《游梁随笔》中择选，用会元斋朱栏稿纸钞录。末有徐世光题识，云：“以上均张少泉夫子笔墨也。夫子江阴人，以癸酉拔贡授知县来豫。光于庚辰夏五月获传门情，朝夕进教，获益多多。忽出《游梁随笔》二册示之，览夫子生平所经历，耳阅目睹，笔之于书，而学业之渊深，胸臆之拓落，已见一斑。兹抄录数则，以志敬服云。辛巳二月十日，友梅谨记。”
