注杜诗者自唐以来不下千家，至南宋黄希、黄鹤父子撰得此本，将百五十余人的杜集注释汇于一本之中，几将宋以前杜集注文搜写殆尽，是研究杜集的重要资料。此本以编年体例编辑，诗文分列，共计二十二卷。其中诗集注解二十卷，录杜诗千余首；文集注解两卷，录文赋二十八篇。卷端次行题“明长洲许自昌玄祐甫校”，“玄”字未避讳。许自昌(1578-1623)，字元祐，号霖寰。筑梅花墅，聚书连屋。好刻书，校刊精允，为一时善本。
