吴山，位于杭州西湖东南，本名胥山，以伍公立庙于此得名。伍公即春秋吴国大夫伍子胥。吴人立祠祀之，历汉魏六朝，庙貌不改。宋大中祥符五年，进封英烈王，并赐忠清庙额。是志对伍公庙的历史沿革叙述详尽，可备志乘之缺。卷端收《山图》《庙图》，皆以双面联式大幅版画呈现，绘刻精良，如临其境。
