洪雅地处四川盆地西南，属成都平原经济区。是志依据嘉庆旧志，再访旧闻而蒐近事，寻遗迹而录新章，于光绪十年续编成书梓行。全书凡九志，曰星野、方舆、营建、赋役、职官、选举、人物、祥异、艺文。对旧志原载而是志无续者均注明“仍旧无增”，如星野、方舆、津梁、兵制等。续增者主要继旧志之后而续之，旧志原载者则不刊入。卷首前刊有试院图、文昌宫奎阁图两幅。艺文一门录有道光至光绪年间十多任知县关于修建城池公署、津梁寺观、学校书院之碑记文词，吟颂名山胜景之诗赋等，为是志中珍贵文献资料。拍品开本阔大，原签尚存。
