解缙有“明第一才子”之称，曾官内阁首辅，《永乐大典》总纂官。其诗歌豪宕丰赡，恣纵放逸。晚年诗风转向忧愤沉郁，曲折宛转，蕴藉深沉。散文则雄劲奇古，新意叠出。明代解缙集仅天顺、嘉靖等数种，传本稀少，叶德辉有“世不多见”之语。此本首有清乾隆三十一年沈德潜序，目录末镌十一、十二世孙校、梓记，卷末有乾隆三十二年十一世孙解韬跋述刻书源流。全书写刻精丽，白纸橅印。
