是书为稀见方外类诗总集，收录借庵诗钞十二卷、焦山四上人诗存四卷（秋屏诗存、性源诗存合一卷；月辉诗存二卷；芥航诗存一卷）；懒余吟草二卷。系焦山定慧寺方丈巨超、觉灯、觉诠、了禅、大须及玉峰庵僧圣教六位僧人之诗集。《借庵诗钞》刊于道光九年，诗僧借庵，名清恒，字巨超，借庵乃其别号，浙江海宁陈氏子。乾隆四十七年(1783)入焦山，五十二年(1788)任定慧寺住持，精程朱之学，与阳湖洪亮吉、仪征阮元、丹徒王豫等人为莫逆之交，而与袁枚、王文治、孙星衍、曾燠等名士多有交往。余五人诗作皆由陈任旸编纂《焦山续志》时据各稿辑录，每人列以小传，详述籍贯、事迹等。全书版刻疏朗，保存完好。
