Description

《莱子侯刻石》刊刻于王莽天凤三年（公元16），清嘉庆二十二年(1817)，颜逢甲、孙生容等得此石于山东邹县城南卧虎山下，见《增补校碑随笔》所载:“道光十四年，邑人徐庭赞移入孟庙，刻跋于石之右旁。见旧拓无跋本，拓甚精”。现藏于邹城博物馆。此石书法古拙奇瑰，气势开张，丰筋力满，趣味横生，熔篆籀之意写隶，清方朔《枕经堂金石书画题跋》：“以篆为隶，结构简劲，意味古雅。”西汉传世书迹甚少，通过此石可窥西汉书风。
