本拍品云峰山郑氏摩崖石刻大小品著名者均已囊括，其中部分为较早期拓本。云峰山摩崖石刻在中国书法史上占有重要地位，其拓本为书法家和收藏家争相临习、收藏，奉为珍宝。最早记载云峰刻石的文献是宋赵明诚所著《金石录》和郑樵《通志》，唯二书所载数量不多，仅有七、八种。在清代干嘉以后，云峰山石刻受到了广泛的重视，收录渐多，影响最大的，当属包世臣的《艺舟双楫》、康有为的《广艺舟双辑》和叶昌炽的《语石》、方若《校碑随笔》。
