玛瑙烟壶呈扁瓶形，直颈圆口，丰肩鼓腹，底承椭圆形圈足。体浑圆厚实，正视似抹角方形，造型圆中见方。壶身以玛瑙为质，清润水滑，作者巧妙利用天然玛瑙黄褐色皮色，灵动非凡。壶身一面减地浅浮雕雕马上封侯图，具有“升官晋禄”、“步步高升”的美好寓意。另一面光素无纹，古雅明艳。可见作者独具匠心的构思，刻画简练，却处处显现大家之风范，如此鬼斧神工，当为俏色玛瑙烟壶中神品。琥珀烟壶随形掏膛而作，小口。造型纤细隽秀，抛光精细，掏堂透彻，壶壁厚薄一致，颇为简洁大方。壶身金红色琥珀为质，温润亮泽，晶莹透亮，整壶器表均带有天然形成的冰裂纹，在灯光的折射下呈现出一丝丝金线，散发出迷人的光泽，令人心醉。
