该品盘口直颈，折肩长腹，挺拔恢弘，整体布局精妙，层次分明，绘制孔雀，栩栩如生，生动形象，各有特色，纹饰描绘精致，用笔细腻，具有极高的艺术感染力，观音尊“顶天立地”的塑造理念，清五彩的鲜明特征。清五彩冠绝一时，为世人所重，此件棒槌瓶大量使用了红、绿、黄、紫、蓝、褐、黑等色彩，其中红彩十分鲜亮润泽，有深浅，浓淡、薄厚之分，绿彩细润柔和，十分自然，有墨绿、深绿、瓜绿、大绿、水绿等不同色调，黄彩有浓艳，浅淡的区别，但都施彩较厚，不透明，紫彩透明，蓝彩深浅具全，黑彩多用于人物的头发，眉眼，靴帽等处，或勾勒纹样的轮廓，漆黑明亮。此瓶造型修长，比例协调，绘画讲究，生动传神，是不可多得的古代瓷器精品。
