A Porcelain Copper-Red and Underglaze-Blue Chi Dragon Vase ( 36.5 x 43.4cm) British collector Donald Ratcliffe practiced medicine in China from 1905 to 1911, and therefore enjoyed collecting Chinese antiques.The globular exterior of the vase is finely painted on one side in vibrant cobalt with floral pattern. This pattern is repeated on the reverse side. The sloping neck is applied with a pair of moulded dragon handles.
