Description

玉蝉在中国古玉文化中占有重要的地位，《史记》曰:“蝉蜕于浊秽，以浮游尘埃之外。”古人以蝉为高洁、通灵之象征，以玉为珮可彰显高尚洁净之品格。以玉制蝉可追溯至新石器时代，此后随着工艺技法的精进改变，不仅使历代玉蝉形制相异，功能意义也有所不同。西周玉蝉多采用片状玉料制作，造型及纹饰皆以平面化方式呈现。此玉蝉玉质温润，呈长方形，双目外鼓，背部以粗阴线琢对称双翼，玉蝉线条简练，粗犷有力，表面平滑光亮。整组玉质莹润，沁色自然，刀法犀利干净，棱角分明，造型拙朴有趣。
