陳秀敏老師早年擔任國中、高中、大學美術教師及兼任科主任等，一直以來專心繪畫藝術的追求，別無他求。無論陶藝、篆刻、書法、油畫皆手到擒來，毫不猶豫！老師的油畫用筆大器，色塊厚實強烈非一日而成，是生命的累積，是不爭不求而來的自在瀟灑。在觀看秀敏老師的畫作時，可見其精簡準確的特質，豪放不羈的色彩，除了感性的感知還有靈魂裡的那份真，更難能可貴的是在藝海的巨濤中從未迷失過自己，深知藝術中化繁為簡的真意，堅毅精簡是作品中處處可見的精神。
