直口，细长颈。颈、肩部置双耳，扁圆腹，椭圆形圈足。外壁通体以青花为饰，口沿饰如意云头纹，颈部绘莲瓣纹。主题纹饰为腹部缠枝莲纹，枝蔓小而精巧，攀枝旋转交错，紧密繁复，描绘细腻，青花晕染，颇具永宣风韵。
抱月瓶清宫档案中又称为「宝月瓶」、「马褂瓶」或「放大马褂瓶」，抱月瓶外形最早源自宋元时期流行于西夏的陶制马挂瓶，左右双系，用以挂于马鞍之侧，极具民族特色。明清时期代以青花为装饰，结合抱月瓶自身之独特的风格，将色彩与器形完美的融于一体，使其发展成为了陈设用赏器。
