王新民，字达德，男 ，北京人，籍贯山西永济，1954年生，现任中国国际书画院理事，中国老年书画研究会研究员，中华艺术学会北京分会秘书长，国际经典书画院客座教授，中国青年政治学院客座教授。习字三十多年来，始终临池不缀，笔耕不止，认真学习各种名帖，悟其真谛，汲取精髓，经过长期的苦心锤炼，其艺术水平不断提高和升华。他的楷书工整隽秀，结构严谨，苍井有力，尤其是小楷颇见功力，典雅清逸，温润娟秀；草书形如流水，奔放潇洒，别具一格。《流水生金》整幅画气势磅礴，把千里之外的锦绣山水挥洒在画卷之上，描绘出嵩山峻岭浩渺江河，楼阁村社飞鸟行人等景致，动静结合，恰到好处。
