蒜头瓶因瓶口形似蒜头而得名，始见于战国晚期，流行于秦汉，多用作酒器，瓷制者则出现于明晚期，尤以嘉靖、万历两朝为盛，清代继续烧造，器形更趋成熟秀美，作为宫廷陈设及花器使用。拍品颈部凸起一道弦纹，器形隽秀雅致，线条柔美起伏。
