窑变釉创烧于清雍正时期，是在唐英督制下试烧成功的仿宋代钧釉品种。本件梅瓶器型婀娜稳重，肩部丰满挺立的特征则与雍干时期青花梅瓶式样相同，具有乾隆早期梅瓶式样的典型风格。通身施窑变釉，釉色间有红、紫、蓝等色，状若瀑布，灿若晚霞，瑰丽动人。口唇因釉料垂流自然显出一圈牙黄色，对比相宜，奇趣盎然。
