此粉彩香插主要部分为一浅碟，碟心立一白马，其四周贴饰道教八宝一古钱、双钱、银锭、单钱、犀角、方胜、金锭、珊瑚，共八样。虽然是道教八宝，然而八样物件与元明的道教八宝有很大的差异。譬如说，铜钱就出现三次，有造型及单、双的不同。又如银锭、金锭同时出现，再加上昂贵的珊瑚和犀角，整件香插充满了财喜之气。马背装饰了宝盒。古钱上有「天下太平」的文字。碟子内外壁涂湖绿釉，碟沿饰珊瑚红地描金回纹一周。圈足底缘露胎涂浅褐色护胎汁，器底书有「大清乾隆年制」铁红篆款。
