永乐甜白釉以明代永乐窑生产的最为著名。景德镇窑采用当地产的优质原料制作瓷器，在白瓷的制作上取得重大突破。景德镇窑工在瓷胎中用较多的高岭土，使三氧化二铝的含量增加，瓷胎机械强度因而提高，胎质变得洁白致密；又在瓷釉中减少了传统助溶剂石灰石的量，改用钾长石作主要或全部的助溶剂，从而避免了瓷釉白中泛青的情况，使产品洁白纯净，与白砂糖的颜色非常相似，故所造白釉又有“甜白”的美名。因此，这种永乐甜白瓷器极为名贵。本件作品在各个方面均完美展示了这种永乐甜白的独特魅力，美轮美奂，为难得一见的珍贵名品。
