端砚居中国四大名砚之首，宋朝开始已把端砚列为“贡品”，端砚不但古来已十分名贵，更因几大名坑砚材枯竭，近年所有名坑都已“封坑”，特别是老坑已封坑多年，无石可采，原料已越来越珍贵，所有端砚的身价日益飞升。此方清乾隆端砚整体竹形，饰蜘竹，意喻“知足”，两侧及背面镌郑板桥诗两首及北平翁氏藏款。此砚石质坚实润滑，细腻娇嫩及猪肝色，其砚形独特，雕工精雅，实为一件端砚中的精品！
