这款银币的铸造始于光绪三十三年（1907年），由度支部天津造币总厂负责。丁未版一两银币的设计精美，正面中央圆圈内镌“光绪银币”四个字，圈外左右两侧分镌“丁未”二字和一对双龙戏珠（寿字）图案。背面中央镌“一两”二字，两侧镌双龙戏珠图案，两条龙的背部和龙腹部分别镌有三团云朵，下端镌海浪图案。这款银币不仅是大清王朝最后一款祝寿纪念银币，而且由于其存世量极为稀少，艺术水准和防伪能力至今未被超越，成为了收藏界的宠儿。
