此件香盒以铜鎏金打造，造工精湛细腻，精铜为胎，通体鎏金，金色灿烂。盒盖盒身以子母相接，盖合紧密。盖面雕刻梅花纹饰，枝叶上梅花蜿蜒而上，吐萼含苞，雕工纯熟流畅，设计精妙，别具意趣，颇可玩味，正是“疏影横斜水清浅，暗香 浮动月黄昏”。梅喻君子，象征操守高洁，常用作案头清玩之题材。盒盖边缘另起圆润棱线，线条洒脱自然，增加装饰效果。底部落款:大明宣德年制。刻款有力，笔法工细，诠释出别具一格的金石之味。
