刘炳森（1937年8月-2005年2月15日），字树庵，号海村，幼年自号刘五先生。他于1962年夏在北京艺术学院美术系中国画山水科本科毕业，同年秋至北京故宫博物院从事古代法书绘画的临摹复制和研究工作。刘炳森在书法领域有着深厚的造诣，尤其在隶书和楷书方面享有盛誉，他的书法风格独特，被称为“刘体隶书”，在国内外享有很高的声誉。他不仅是一位杰出的书法家，还担任过多个重要职务，包括第三届中国书法家协会副主席、中国文联副主席、中国佛教协会副会长等。
