BUDDHA AMITABHA. Tibet/Nepal. 19. Jh. Bronze mit Resten von Bemalung. Sitzend in padmasana und in beiden Händen eine Schale haltend. Sein langes Gewand in Falten gelegt und ihn umgibt eine zweiteilige flammende Aureole. Der Lotossockel durchbrochen gearbeitet und mit einem Holzstück verschlossen, darüber ein Textil bemalt mit dem typischen Doppelvajra. Die Figur ist gefüllt, am Rand sind Papierrollen sichtbar. Figur und Sockel ursprünglich separat gegossen, nun verbunden. Gewicht 1785g, Höhe 24cm, Breite 13,3cm. Zustand A/B. Provenienz:-Privatsammlung Hamburg. The lotus pedestal in open-work and sealed with a piece of wood, on top textile painted with the characteristic double vajra. The figure is filled, at the edge some paper rolls are visible. Figure and pedestal originally cast separately, now connected. Weight 1785g, height 24cm, width 13.3cm. Condition A/B.
