Der junge Kidomaru versteckt sich unter einem Ochsenfell, geschnitzt aus einem gleichmäßig roten Stück Koralle. Das Gesicht des Jungen, der Kopf und ein Bein des Ochsen der Form des Korallenstückes folgend mit sehr fein graviertem Fell. Diese Komposition ruht auf einem flachen Elfenbein-Sockel, geschnitzt und subtil eingefärbt mit gravierten Details aus Blättern und Blüten, akzentuiert durch eingelegte Tautropfen aus verschiedenen Materialien wie Koralle, Perlmutt und Silber. Sehr harmonische Komposition. Eines der Himotoshi in Herzform, die Unterseite sehr fein poliert. H.2,4cm, B.4,9cm. Zustand A/B. Winzige Fehl- und Bruchstellen in den Gräsern des Sockels. The boy's face, and the ox' head and one leg follow the form of the coral with very finely engraved fur. This composition rests on a flat ivory base, carved and subtly coloured with engraved details from leaves and blossoms, accentuated by inlaid dewdrops of various materials like coral, mother-of-pearl, and silver. Very harmonic composition. One of the Himotoshi heart-shaped, the bottom finely polished. Height 2.4cm, width 4.9cm. Condition A/B. Tiny loss and breakage in the grass on the base.
