|此件墨床白玉制，玉质温润坚韧，洁白晶莹。作案几状，小器大作。正面雕琢简化的夔龙纹样，纹饰布局妥帖，古朴而雅致，颇富文人意趣，是较为难得的案头清玩。文献中关于墨床的记载始见于清代，又称墨架、墨台，是专门用来承搁未干墨锭的小案架，因墨磨后湿润，乱放容易玷污他物，故制墨床以搁墨。墨床与笔筒、水呈、笔架、印盒、糨糊盒、镇纸等属清朝文具小九件。
