瓶呈葫芦形，直口微外撇，双鼓腹，束腰，圈足。葫芦瓶通体施白色底釉，颈绘花草。上下幅均绘人物故事图，以弦纹相隔，形体秀美，上下比例协调，绘画精细，青花发色清丽明艳，主题纹饰为戏曲人物故事，笔触生动，画功流畅，实为上品。葫芦瓶因其谐音“福禄”，故为祥瑞之器，且器形像“吉”字，故又名“大吉瓶”，寓意大吉大利，为民间所喜爱，遂成为传统器形，在明代中晚期较为多见，多作陈设用，是摆件中的名器。
