展览：2011年“生产者——罗荃木个展”北京今日美术馆。我一直强调的是“画面”这个物质本身的那种质感，它首先应该就是一个平面，但是这个想法变成了一种约束，这个时候我就放弃了。现在我在画面里加了空间，甚至立体，这就是描绘对象的需要，但它最后还在我要的那个质地里面……过于强调某一点，也会失去表达的自由性，而它才是绘画中最重要的东西。——罗荃木
