墨床，亦称墨架、墨台，是专门用来承搁墨锭的小案架。墨磨后湿润，乱放容易玷污他物，故制墨床以搁墨。墨床以墨定形，通常不会太大，宽不过二指，长不过三寸。造型多案架形、座托形、书卷形、博古架形，或曲折，或简练，深受历代文人墨客的青睐。明清以后墨床的制作材质，从古铜、玉器，发展到陶瓷、象牙、红木、漆器、玛瑙、翡翠、景泰蓝等。
