|笔筒以横云烟岚交织新月梧桐为背景，玲珑湖石矗立，又有曲栏饶台，以剔地深刻手法雕二乔拜月，二乔着霓裳珠玉，膜礼拜月，其仪态万方，婉约秀美。雕法精细，错落有致，具明显的明末嘉定派浮雕效果，场景丰富，颇有画意。笔筒泛红褐色，包浆厚重。山石枝叶间阴文雕刻隶书“宗玉”款，结字方正有力。|顾珏，字宗玉，活跃于康、雍年间，上海嘉定人。工刻竹。继承嘉定竹派朱三松、沈兼神髓，又不落前人窠臼而独立门庭。以巧穷毫发为经营方略，另辟蹊径，自成一格，引领玲珑巧致一派。《竹人录》对顾珏评价甚高，认为朱沈相承，平淡天真，纯以韵胜，珏则刻露精深，细入毫发。
