妈祖，又称天妃、天后、天上圣母、娘妈，因此尊能够在惊涛骇浪中拯救众生，是历代船工、海员、旅客、商人和渔民共同信奉的神?。此尊头戴冕冠，容貌秀美，表情端庄，如中国古代之贵妇样貌。上身佩戴霞帔，着厚重华丽长服，双手捧笏。下身脚蹬汉靴，倚坐于靠背椅之上。整像选料精良，人物造型写实，与中国古代对贤德女性样貌的描述完全一致。更兼其宗教寓意吉祥，加持力应十分巨大。
