此图以本色八宝暗花缎为地，绣祥云、火焰、老虎、山石、草叶等图案。图中以金线绣作猛虎身体，并以黄线勾勒轮廓及其身上花纹，其作爬行状。老虎为勇猛的象征，明清两代用来作为补子的图案，成为武官四品的象征。同时，虎的图形也出现在代表皇帝品德的十二章纹中，与“蜼”一起并称为“宗彝”，寓意“忠勇”与“孝顺”。此图制成年代不晚于清早期，具有明代的特征。
