此织品由一件龙袍袍料前后两面拼合而成。龙纹以金线缂织，深蓝色丝线勾勒龙鳞，生动具有浮雕感，缂丝技法娴熟精美，除常用的平缂、搭缂外，还用凤尾戗缂织蝙蝠，红色蝙蝠在祥云中飞舞，寓意洪福齐天，飞入海水中的蝙蝠则寓意福如东海。龙袍全缂织，比清晚期时一些半缂半画的缂丝作品复杂很多，捻金线匀细，缂工平薄精细，设色丰富绚丽。
