|释文：香林先生大鉴：久不晤教为念，十日惠书奉悉。欣悉获任港大终身名誉教授，更为喜慰。拙作有关《朱子通鉴》纲目之叙述，幸有成稿，文长近万字，当在此觅人写录照，需一月后始能奉寄，若急需付印，则盼预留篇幅。关于港大中文系校外考试委员一职，得兄与顺之兄属意，穆自当应命。惟宜在何时赴港，在港需滞留多时，具一应待遇何如？盼弟前告知，以便作最后之决定。专复，顺颂道履康吉，弟穆顿，十二月十四日。||信封：香港麦当奴道22号二楼，罗香林先生，启。台北外双溪，钱缄。||说明：上款人罗香林，广东兴宁人。字符一，号乙堂，历史学家、客家研究开拓者。早年毕业于清华大学历史系，师从梁启超、王国维等。历任中山大学、香港大学、珠海书院教授，获香港大学终身名誉教授衔。
