14K yellow gold, tested. 14 rose-cut garnets. The condition of the earrings considering their age is extremely good. Diameter circa 3.5 cm. Circa 6.02 g. Large hoop earrings with a diameter of approx. 30 mm were fashionable in the first two decades of the Biedermeier period. The front side of the hoops were often decorated with roses flanked by acanthus or rocaille motifs.
