钤印：「廿七年入蜀以后作」 |吕凤子（1886-1959），生于江苏丹阳。原名浚，字凤痴，号凤子，别署凤先生。中国近现代著名画家，书法家和艺术教育家，职业教育的重要发轫者，“江苏画派”（“新金陵画派”）的先驱和最重要缔造者之一。曾在南京、扬州、长沙、北京等地师范学校任教。在南京大学（前身中央大学）主持教务九年。也曾任正则艺专校长、国立艺术专校长等职。1949年后，任苏南文化教育学院、江苏师范学院教授、江苏省国画院筹委会主任委员、江苏省美术家协会副主席等职。
