1) Mid to late 20th century, New England. Mounted on a piece of driftwood simulating natural ground. Illegibly signed in pencil beneath the base. 3-3/4 tall x 6-1/2 wide. Probably loss of paint with later touch-ups to beak, otherwise very good. 2) Mid- to late-20th century, New England. Mounted on a piece of driftwood simulating natural ground. A life-size sculpture posed with left leg withdrawn. Unsigned, attributed to craftsman John Mackenzie of Brewster, Massachusetts. 7-1/2 tall x 12 wide. There is a tight hairline stress crack at the base of the neck. Paint surfaces original with good patina. 3) Early 20th century, Nantucket, Massachusetts basket. Of typical form with D-form bent ash swing handle. The wide carrying basket with figured maple bottom, unmarked. 5-3/4 tall x 12-1/2 diameter. Fine nutty brown color and patina with some surface soiling. The basket is somewhat dry and crusty with a 2 loss of a woven section at midpoint, otherwise good. 4) 19th-20th century. The folk art rooster made in pieces with repairs and paint simulating old repairs and painted surface. Accompanied by a museum quality stand. 16 tall x 19 long. Newly repainted surface with multiple cracks and old tin repairs. PROVENANCE: Contents of a lifetime collection "Brook Crossing", South Pomfret, VT.
